HAVEN 24-hour Crisis Support 877-922-1274
  Counseling Program

The non-residential Counseling Program services individuals of all ages that have experienced domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Counseling in this program focuses on the educational component of the dynamics and effects of abuse, crisis intervention, sorting out feelings of confusion and helplessness, implementation of safety planning and support.

Counselors implement components of Empowerment, Client Centered and Solution Focused Brief Therapy as a guide in setting and accomplishing the goals of the people we serve, empowering them to move forward in their lives. Both group and individual counseling is available at our Farmington Hills, Southfield and Bloomfield Hills locations.

Specialty groups and seminars take place through out the year addressing topics like healing and loss, increasing self-esteem, parenting when there is domestic violence etc.

Group fees are minimal and individual counseling is based on a sliding fee scale that when warranted slides to zero. No one is turned away from the Counseling Program because of the inability to pay.
