How You Can HelpAs a not-for-profit agency, HAVEN relies on the support of individuals and community groups to help carry on our efforts. The success that HAVEN has been able to achieve would not be possible without the hundreds of individuals who give so generously to the organization. VolunteerVolunteers are the cornerstone of our programs. They work directly with clients to bring about real change in their lives. But sometimes, it's the volunteers who walk away from the experience the most changed. HAVEN needs volunteers to assist in all our programs, but right now we most urgently need help in: • Social Action: Be there right away. You'll carry a pager so you can respond immediately after someone has been in a domestic violence or sexual assault incident. You'll be the one they turn to as an advocate and supporter. Join the HAVEN family. For information on how you can make a difference, view the complete list of opportunities or contact Belle Kleinberg Hornung at bkleinberg@haven-oakland.org or 248.334.1284 x659. Make a Donation OnlineTo make a tax-deductible financial contribution to support HAVEN's work in your community, make a donation online or call the HAVEN Development Department at (248) 334-1284 ext.344. HAVEN Wish List(Download a Printable List)HAVEN's shelter provides three meals and living supplies to our residents each day. We typically house 45 people in the shelter.
