Research and experience tell us that sexual violence is a common component of intimate partner violence, but victims are often far less likely to disclose acts of sexual violence than physical violence, in their contacts with law enforcement.
This training will identify practical strategies for addressing the most common challenges in confronting sexual assault in domestic violence cases.
Presented by Sergeant Mike Davis, Vancouver Police Department. Mike Davis is a recently retired Sergeant of Vancouver Police Department of Washington with 25 years experience in law enforcement. He is an expert on improving law enforcement and coordinated community response to sexual assault in the context of intimate partner violence.
